And also blamed India for “using Afganistan” against Pakistan. Also, expect proper US intervention to get hold of the airbase soon. Pakistan is being used to soften the target such that US doesn’t have to face casualties.
China-Russia-Iran would never allow US based in afghan again. It was different in past when they set it up. It was hard to boot em out. But now? No way, they are letting US set camp there.
And I don't believe anyone in US security department realistically believe they can get it, especially by relying on pak.
Trump has upended US' foreign policy hegemony and clout like none other.
Don't look at it from Indian political pov. Remove that glass. Look at it as a neutral observer. Russia-ukraine war can be said as real start of Transition towards multipolar world order. Europe was very much in denial back then. But look at the developments now.
They are slowly realising that their old guard is crumbling. Nations are defying the diktat. Bypassing sanctions. And effectively, showing them the mirror , that it's not 1945 anymore.
Air Raids dont equate shit if there are no boots on the ground. This isnt Iran with a nuke program. Trump doesnt have much to justify US Air Power.
If Afghanistan makes a formal request to China for aid - its becomes a powder keg.
Pak has no chance in hell of taking/holding Bagram on its own. US can take it but hold it long term is another question. Even 10 yrs after the invasion, the Green zone in Baghdad used to get mortars lobbed at it. And that was with the pliant Iraqi govt. With an ultra hostile Afghan govt, how hard is it for a "Resistance front" to pop up independent of Taliban and lob mortars everyday. Talibs will make some noise, play whack-a-mole and shrug it off.

Why would India do that? Indian missiles can hit any target profile inside Pakistan whenever it wants, be it west Pakistan near Af Iran border. The Pakistani tangos can't hide any where. They will be hunted by India if they act against India and they will be hunted by other rivalries in the region.
I was very confused too. Half of the things he set out to do.. could've been approached in a much better way, perhaps with much better result. But he has to approve truth social posts and through it, threaten a nation they almost destroyed. A nation sitting next to chinese nuclear facilities and saying so on television. Even he might not be serious about it, and just blabbering to get the media buzz going.
