Then what is the meaning of all those advertisements when there is no benefit of the system in term of timing?

Vande Bharat will be regional express/ intercity express with average speed of max 80-100 km/hr in future. It will be semi high speed rail, cheaper than actual high speed rail. This is the model. You will have to change 2-3 Vande Bharat to reach Delhi to Mumbai in low price or chose high speed rail with high price with minimum stops, direct and no delays.

Means you agreed with me that Vande Bharat does not provide any benefit over other trains so far as timing is concerned.

Long distance high speed metros which are economical. That's Vande Bharat. It is beneficial.

for example you want to travel to Chandigarh from Delhi, Vande Bharat is the best option.

Economical for whom? Certainly not for customer. It is too expensive. My main concern is that inspite of such trains, we are unable to get any time advantage. It runs at same speed which is capped at 130 k.m. like other trains. You get batter timming in some cases because of pure prioritisation.

It's more to do with safety. People, "educated" people cross railway crossings like they are crossing their colony Street. And that's in urban and semi urban areas with basic safety measures like closing off gates ( pipe ).

But then you've got railway crossings in rural areas where staff doesn't even care to take basic measures.
If trains are allowed to run at very high speed.. atleast for 2-3 years, deaths from train will increase highly.

And anything too shiny, costly safety measure in India is like inviting theft. Metro works cause they are in rich cities and small network compared to railways.

Maybe huge underground rail network could be a solution but it will need massive massive investment which India doesn't have

Vande Bharat class of trains are basic requirements as train sets for the following reasons: 1) Less requirements of seperate locomotives which actually reduces consumption of electricity, 2) Regenerative Braking Technology to reduce the energy loss during Braking, 3) Door safety with automatic doors, 4) Improved Surveillance inside train to tackle issues life Theft, harrasment, unauthorised & illegal travel etc., 5) Better Amenities, 6) Improvement in average speed in comparison to existing trains... We can't have 180 kmph - 200 kmph operational speed unless we change the entire track system, Stopping Cattles, animals and Human movements on Railway tracks... The permanent solution is not only in Railway development but taking actions on Social disarrangement like illegal encroachment of Areas of railways, Building illegal slums beside railway tracks, treating public places like railway platforms and tracks as litter box, dustbin,Basin, toilets and bathroom... Common public has no internal feelings to keep these areas clean... Public uses railway tracks to go from one platform from another inspite of having Overbridges/subways.... How can you operate at higher average speed in these situations?
