In few seconds & 1 line she passed severely insensitive words against central govt. & Sanatan Dharm.
I think India is the only nation where such people are officially tolerated & empowered on the name of freedom, democracy, etc. In West an anti-Christian person, no matter how well established, might be labeled as unstable, heretic, infidel, etc, arrested, put to trial, sent to prison &/or correctional facility.
Her statements can potentially start riots. Bcoz of her Bannerjee surname, many Bengali Brahmins & the Bengali community has come under verbal fire. In the land of intellectuals like Rabindranath Tagore, Bankimchandra Chatterjee, Subhash Chandra Bose, ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, Swami Vivekanand, etc what is happening?
I didn't study her past too much. I wonder what makes her hate Sanatan Dharm. Communism focuses on community but astonishingly it has become coincident with anti-religious values. AFAIK, Communists don't want to follow any religion. But she supports other faiths against SD so much & does prayers their style too. She did MA degree in Islamic history.
