I am trying to think what would the end game of pak be (i.e. what would their leadership be thinking):
a) option-1: since they shot down aircraft, they can declared victory and be happy. But the problem is - IWT stays suspended and their leadership already promise further retaliation, and withdrawing now will be seen as weakness.
b) option-2: retaliate further, invite further Indian attacks and on and on....no clear end game.

If India does not un-suspend IWT and pak gains in war are minimam (like a few aircraft shot down etc) and suffer further losses themselves, what is it that pak gained by starting phalgaham?
