Its possible, but we need a clearer picture.

It was taken from this video.
Upgraded M-2000Is have grey radomes while the few unupgraded ones (M-2000H) had black ones. Iirc, it was one of the H airframes that reportedly had to abort a bomb run over Balakot in 2019 due to an onboard malfunction.

The UPG program for these birds was scheduled for completion by 2022. So, this can't possibly be M2000. Imo, of course.

I had genuinely expected that we would use meteors. Seeing that they launched missiles into our airspace while we were dodging their missiles to not escalate into a military situation was something that I did not expect will be repeated, seems like neither Modi or IAF learnt from Balakot. It seems like the PAF got desperate and launched as many BVR's as they could into our airspace while we were just playing dodge ball against them.

Let's go to war. Tbf. Avoiding military targets while the PAF has full freedom to attack us is limiting us everytime.

Heard that the pilots ejected. So the pilots are most likely safe.

This has always been the case, the onus is now on Pakistan to climb the escalation ladder - we don’t have terrorist sites on this side, so any target they choose to hit will be one of the following - Military, religious, civilian. In any case, it will be an escalation and that’s something that I believe we have factored in this time. The entire narrative that this was only “Phase-I” of Op Sindoor also indicates towards this - “Phase-II” will come after Pak retaliation. I am really curious to see if Pak walks into that!

the Indian newspaper the print reported that in 2021, only about 50% of the Mirage fighter jets were upgraded, and it is expected that all upgrades will be completed within two to three years. But we don't know whether this work has been completed with the efficiency of HAL.

I suppose there is no official report on this. I don’t think this would have been the case. One thing I can think of the range, they probably fired from outside of the firing envelope, read wasted missiles which we didn’t as they didn’t come close enough. However, given the number of images of “PAF Items” doing rounds in SM, we hit and downed something for sure. Let’s wait for the official story on what went down last night!

Really?, "we dont know" or you dont know? It completed last year.

Response should be massive & in kind.... CCP bot brigade has been activated everywhere to provide 🐖🥩-e moral support.
We can see that clearly. Hope, 50 cent got inflation adjusted.

So is it 2, 3, 5 or 50?
My money is on 2.

Its one shot down and one crashed? Weird....
They all went down after entering our airspace and completing their missions. Which means that PAF does have a delay in response. We were defending our airspace instead of bullying Pakistani military assets. One thing remains clear, the Indian Army still remains the most competent force in our armed forces.
The Indian Air Force has an extremely defensive and arrogant mindset. Why weren't any Tejas involved? Why didn't they use their full BVR capacity. Why weren't meteors used against PAF aircrafts. They just wanted to do a bigger Balakot not realising how desperate the Pakistanis were and would do anything.
So abhingdonboy and abhijit iyer mitra were correct too in their reads. Minor disappointment atleast we took out those terror targets. We can recoup the cost. One thing is clear that the PAF cannot enter our airspace.
The IAF has to start focusing on BVR and air superiority role instead of being an A2G ground support force.

The rafales and Mirages were 23 minutes inside PAF airspace. So that means they(Pakpigs) were caught by surprise initially.

It seems they are setting up a false flag destruction of some of their hydropower facilities as a casus belli for striking some of our dams.

So Pakistan has decided to escalate - most likely on the orders of their Chinese masters.
Pakistani's invented the false flag game in the subcontinent.

They are scared of the implications of IWT threats. So, getting ready to strike dams for the next round.

Has the IAF made any public reports? No. Maybe a few military bloggers have claimed this, but they lack authority.

I hope they attack us fast. Need to start bombing their airspaces. This non-escalatory bs needs to be trashed. Good for the Chinese though they can delay their loss of western manufacturing for some time.
