Ukraine - Russia Conflict

@Innominate, @Picdelamirand-oil, a Mk-84 2,000lb aerial bomb makes a crater 15m wide, or roughly an Su-30's wingspan. So given the size of the craters, it can only be an SRBM with a 500+kg warhead. Munitions explosion, well the crater in the top right is in a spot where nothing was previously.

Now the US did say that if Ukraine is receiving fire from an area inside Russia, then it is a legitimate target. So if an airbase is launching strikes against Ukraine, it is a legitimate target.

ATACMS not likely to have done this.

The episode of the battle of the Russian reconnaissance group of the Airborne Forces in Ukraine. During the patrol, the military discovered a stronghold of the Ukrainian army. The company commander decided to join the battle. With the support of fire from the BMD-2K-AU airborne combat vehicle and ATGM strikes, it was possible to destroy the stronghold of the Ukrainian army.

Video of Polish 155 mm self-propelled guns Krab in Ukraine. Ukraine purchased 54 of these self-propelled guns and 15 more transferred to Poland from storage. The self-propelled guns were developed in 2000, and there were many problems during its creation. The self-propelled guns can hardly be called Polish; many foreign units are used in the design. Chassis ACS K9 licensed production by Samsung, power plant German diesel engine MT 881 Ka-500, 1,000 hp. With. The howitzer barrel is manufactured by Rheinmetall from Germany. Depending on the type of ammunition, self-propelled guns can hit targets at a distance of 30 to 40 kilometers. The rate of fire of the installation is 6 rounds per minute, the practical rate of fire for long-term combat work is 2 rounds per minute. Howitzer ammunition 40 shells.

so are the NATO countries for providing weapons, manpower and special forces to Ukraine. The strike on Saki airbase was most likely from long range HIMARS rockets which can spread bomblets over a wide area. Now the chances of escalation to mainland Europe are extremely high and very soon we might see Russia striking couple of airbases in NATO countries in retaliation.

If chinese continue in the same way for next 10 years, it is nearly game over.
They are also gaining in chip development. Problem is they are making same mistake like soviet union concentrating all the efforts in china itself instead of creating strong allies who can support them.

Just one itty bitty problem.... US stopped making cluster munitions for their HiMARS andM270s. They don't exist anymore. Whatever hit this base was either ATAMCS, Neptunes converted for ground attack or their mysterious 500km range ballistic missile.

I've been going back and forth on this but the size of the craters tells me it was not ATACMS. But the hell knows...

Saki is 240km beyond the frontline. It was unlikely regular HIMARS rockets and there's no record of the US providing ATACMS. Special Forces raid seems unlikely on a frontline airbase in the middle of a war, so that only leaves Hrim-2 or Vilkha and one crater where there were no munitions is >15m across, so that leaves Hrim-2.

If Russia strike NATO they are done. Deterrents don't work in attack.
And if you went around the ghettos in India, how many Indians wouldn't be able to find the world on a world map.
