The higher gas prices lead to increased fuel duty revenues, which pays for support to Ukraine.
The West has already been clear, Russia will remain under sanctions whilst Russian troops remain in any part of Ukraine.
It all depends on how many Russians Putin is allowed to get killed. Time is not on Putin's side, that's why he made a quick drive for Kyiv at the start. The more this drags on, the more it costs Russia. This war is not cheap for them.
Europe never retained any annexed territories that didn't want to remain post WWII, nor did the US. Russia has always retained them all under a dictatorship, along with half of Europe post WWII. Furthermore, Soviet Communism spread Communist dictatorships into other countries post WWII, notably North Korea and China.
Russia is also still annexing territories even today as we speak.
Is that not the way it should be? Or should we all go back to colonialism and start trying to reacquire lost territories like Russia is, and come up with some BS excuses along the way?

Lol. No. They are also getting MLRS track launchers. Using just 4 MLRS alone has 48 guided rockets with a range of 75km+ with 200lb+ of explosives that will devastate a Russian front or staging area. That is like an airstrike sortie of multiple aircraft dropping 48 SDB on enemy forces. That is devastating and Ukraine is getting dozens of MLRS/HiMARS.
This video alone will show just what one guided rocket can do.
The ammunition expenditure is so significantly lower because of precision guidance. HiMARS/GMLRS is considered air support and not rocket artillery that saturates an area. It really is a game changer and makes you wonder why India doesn't get their hands on these. Imagine what they could do in Kashmir?

Europe and US held on and sucked off the colonies as long as they could and when they left it was not because they respected the will of the people or out of the goodness of their hearts but rather they could not hold on to these territories. Even once done they tried to piss their way via regime changes or armed interventions (Suez war, Iran ... the list is long)

No, it's because they didn't want to shoot the number of people that would be required to hold onto those territories. As for the US, all the territories they've ever held have never wanted to leave.
The shoe isn't really on the other foot, we aren't fighting. If we were Russia would be getting its ars kicked and end up playing pigeon chess by using nukes.
Whether Russia occupies Ukraine or not actually affects US/EU very little, it's not like it would be something new for us. It's just wrong, and you're wrong for supporting it via these increasingly strained historical whataboutism arguments. It's also not like India has never had any empires historically, or other countries outside Europe, so quit acting like European empires were the first, when in fact they were the last. And quit bringing up barbaric times from history to justify crimes of the present day.

Ukraine never smudges out their faces when they're unboxing weaponry. So why would Russia smudge out the faces of Ukrainian soldiers? Try using your brain. I don't even see anything that IDs them as Ukrainian.
Who knows but the war is only happening because of Russia either way.
