Islamic Republic of Afghanistan : News & Discussions

@BMD you Fancy bombing Afghans using Typhoons or whatever TF you are making?
I would just use drones loitering over Taliban-held areas 24/7, picking them off for the rest of eternity and maybe have some UGVs too. Sort of like an advanced pigeon deterrent.

Reminds me of

No one can tell for sure that what the F is going on in Afghanistan. Who is supporting who or betraying who.
My observations are
1. Americans/UK agreed for regime change (so CIA and Pak is backing Bunnies)
2. Turkmenistan is supporting NA ( it’s highly likely that Russia is backing them)
3. Chinese went with Pak-Taliban side
4. India? Turks ? Iran ? unclear
He did his task successfully (making ANA surrender to Talibs) and therefore being rewarded by US .

The muslims in Afghanistan openly speaking against Taliban that's known as reform, not just in Afghanistan but many places, this is what american did sitting there. Taliban Qaida abcedfg is an ideology. The more Muslims start accepting the western civilization the more the Islam gets diluted into it. This will also impact the 200 million muslims in India.

These westernized muslim may remain muslims but same time can't go back to caves and live like rest of the cult. Muslim mothers throwing their kids over the fence to americans to protect them from radical islamic cult whole world has seen those footages. It's a big psywar. They are proving a point.

Americans and british are very powerful people they hold resources all over the world including the Arab world. Without major money inflow no war can be fought.

And Russians are themselves catholic and orthodox. They will keep the check on americans but will not interfere in america's war against terror. Both of these countries have understanding at some different level which others are not even close.

Chinese will try to act to get access to water ways through Afghanistan parallel to CPEC Corridor and into Iran for the transportation and gas pipelines plus controlling the Uyghers. That's their only interest.

ANSDF (formerly ANA) is not part of NA. It just melted away and soldiers deserted and fled away as Talibs came. Even the last army chief (appointed by Ghani) can be seen waiting outside Kabul Airport for evacuation flight.
Only the trusted groups of ANA and Afghan Special Forces joined hands with local Tajik militia including Dostum to form a Joint Resistance Front or what people are calling Northern Alliance.
They have support of Tajikistan where Afghan Airforce fled after Taliban takeover and has large assets of Afghan Air Assets parked there.
Even local Tajiks are coming out to support NA by crossing the open border.
Do you know that India too have minor role is helping them ?
@STEPHEN COHEN has posted about it already

In Uzbekistan Termez Airbase

. However, what we can see fits almost perfectly with an official statementfrom the government of Uzbekistan that 46 aircraft, 22 fixed-wing types and 24 helicopters, coming out of Afghanistan had been "forced" to land.

Varying numbers between 5000 and 8000. Though claim the numbers are still climbing. Dostum claims it can climb to as much as 15000 with the addition of his forces in Uzbek. But treat any number you see or hear as a rumour.

Hazara groups fighting in Syria may return as well, although not Panjshir.

They can do a defence. The NA needs to swell to atleast 30k and gain control of kunduz to turn things in its favour and need to ally with the hazaras..

The ANA were betrayed, but a lot of soldiers and officers still have a lot of fight left in them. There are also the Afghan commandos that numbered over 20000 in the ANA. Enlisting many of them into militias will do wonders.

It's still going to take a long time for fighters hiding in the hinterland and foreign countries to pick up the pieces and begin fighting again.

Anyway, the Taliban isn't capable of holding the country with their numbers, the era of the warlords will begin soon.
