Indian Missiles and Munitions Discussion

Why not ?

All 3 are being developed by the RUDRAM project group.
All 3 are air to surface missiles
All 3 use technology and components which share same base
You just said it could be air to air.

Of course, any missile project can share tech. Rudram-1 shares Mmw with ATGM family.

Is it possible that DRDO would deliberately pass off some of the earlier tests of Nirbhay as failed so as to downplay our capabilities?

There has been many speculations regarding the "Surya" missile. Officially, it doesn't exist. But unofficially, there have been rumours of its stages being tested as part of other missiles.

So, chances of Nirbhay being operational is low, but given DRDO's track record at fooling people who "don't need to know" about it's development is tremendous, I would not be too sure.

Omni directional multiband conformal antenna ( I suspect for missiles )

The pic is of a lab prototype

Interesting nonetheless

Another one to add to the general confusion

And don't get discouraged , more are on the way

At this rate our arsenal conventional missiles will be rivalling and in some cases out doing many great powers

If we succeed in this project, we will definitely create new opportunities for exporting supersonic cruise missiles...Completely Indigenous Product

Air/Land/Sea based Cruise missiles, target drones etc etc. Once the engine tech matures, our imagination & budget are the only limits.

SMH

dual pulse motor is DRDO development in lrsam , not Israeli.

Yep. It was HEMRL, DRDO.

Ah now it becoming frustrating useless labs like ADE and GTRE can't develop anything properly.
We have to wait to see the root cause, It's a new engine we are trying to integrate

The problem was probably in the GNC kit, not the engine.

IF, these actually get productized in time...

In time for what ? There will always be some milestone event coming up. Its important that we keep building. The tech isn't anything too fancy, just big solid rockets with some good guidance systems.
