PLA and China in its entire history never cared about the number of dead Chinese soldiers. They care about strategic gains, not number of dead soldiers. If you think Chinese don't have stomach for war, you don't know PRC/PLA

If anyone who didn't have stomach for conflict in China/India dynamics, its India and Indian population.

we should have a tunnel under bangladesh that will solve most of the problems and also create some new ones. :p

I am not much worried about this emergency procurement because of following reasons :-
Firstly emergency purchase doesn't mean that we are incapable of fighting a war now. Intact we do have adequate resources to fight and win a two front war. But you don't go to war with adequate resources, unless it is imposed on you, you go to war with overwhelming edge which I think we are seeking with these purchases.
Second objection which is being raised on these purchases is that since these purchases are mainly imports it will harm our indigenous industry and much touted atmnirbharta push. Again this argument is not right as presently no indigenous industry has reliable product to provide us the capabilities we need. And all these products which we are purchasing will be used in war, hence creating a big gap which will surely be filled by indigenous products over time. So no need to worry.

First let's decouple CCP/PLA Generals from Chinese society. This is not the same society that was living till 1990s. They have been pampered with lot of wealth and ambitions since then.

I never doubted CCP to get their people slaughtered without any sense of remorse. They, like Pakistan, are worried about optics, larger than life image of PLA, nothing else. Once the paper dragon is put in its place, smaller nations, and even local dissidents, start bullying back the bully, not to mention hit on morale of PLA troops. A war or skirmish is not like domestic issue of coronavirus where even when millions were killed, you can sweep it under the carpet and report few thousands.

Do you think when Google is doing partnership with Ambani, the Ambani will let modi declare war? This has happened for the 3rd time now. These ambanis will doom India one day. I am better of with Tata.

Well , there is no sign of back off be it on military deployment matching Chinese or infra development which the Chinese object to or the inductions of military hardware to prepare for the worst . Please enlighten us about the wishful thinking of someone who want to disband army in mid of all this

it’s cute how we live in a bubble of superiority and refuse to see anything thatgoes against that view no matter how obvious

PLA has the capability to fight a far with homegrown weapons. Themight be 80% or less capable than the west but Chinks can replace them quite rapidly. Same for munitions.

Between India which has to buy stuff every time there is a crisis and Chinks who get it internally who has an advantage??

PLA lost 47 men and it was able to shrug it off. That’s the level of control their govt has. In a proper conflict their appetite to take losses is far greater.

The reason China is going easy is it wants India to trade with it. That’s it. Angry Indians won’t buy its goods.Chinese just want to keep India in check n continue to dominate Asia.

There are smaller countries like Philippines Vietnam Mongolia Bhutan even Japan who are observing this standoff. There is no way China will concede on anything that makes it look weak.

They keep on giving us propaganda wins and have correctly estimated it will keep us in good humour
