It is not faith but a religion. Faith is personal but religion is a civilisation based on faith. It is a fact that there were pagans initially who had developed great civilisation, had developed lot of technology and made great progress. But suddenly a few generation people betrayed the hard work done by these ancestors and instead chose to follow the opinions of arbitrary people calling them revelations purely out of stupidity, fear or greed. Aren't these people traitors?
The next generation people were brainwashed since childhood to these evil path of the traitors. Unfortunately, people are run by inertia and habits, rather than reason. When evil is imbibed into the minds, people themselves become evil. Hence the evil propagates.
The evil or good exists on this earth in the form of actors. Non living things can't be good or evil. Good or evil is purely dependent on actions of living creatures. Evil doesn't work on its own as this world needs a physical actor. People possessed by evil simply refuse to reason and instead choose to die for their unreasonable path.
