Entire political career of YSR family is dependent on converted people. So, I don't think YS Jagan will do such thing. There are rumours that this coterie wants to convert Backward Caste people also. So that his voteshare will be increased, He and his family can stay in power for very longtime.

For some strange reason, language, identity & Dravidian politics in TN was always driven by outsiders to TN. EVR & Karunanidhi were of Telugu origin & that's just the beginning of the irony. MGR - a Malayali from Sri Lanka, JJ - a Mysore based Tam Bram & now in the limelight - Rajini - a Maharashtrian from Karnataka made good in TN & Kamalhasan another TamBram were / are the leading lights in TN politics.
They did this to get aceepted within the Tamil society and hide their roots. But in the process, they ruined Tamilian politics.
Incidentally, this guy Vairamuthu was supposed to have presided over a socio cultural program in Malaysia for Tamils settled there who in turn called for the invite to be rescinded due to his Hinduphobic comments & persistently anti Hindu stance. An agitation was launched by the local Tamils there asking the Malaysian government to ban his entry into Malaysia. He was also accused of sexual harassment as part of the #me too campaign.
