It's fair if Trump retaliates, say by blocking exports of Corona virus testing kits / reagents to India, as US even with 100000 tests per day is still facing shortages.. First Pompeo discussed with Jaishankar, then, Trump talked to Modi on Saturday. Every relationship is a two way street.. India has been supplying half of US requirement of hydroxychloroquine every year. And now India has stopped when 11000 people are dead in the US. When every country fights for itself, India should be prepared for blowback also...
Threats of retaliation is common even among allied nations when it comes to diplomacy. But it is done in private. Trump threatening in the open leaves a bad taste..
