That's fine. We are taking deliveries of Scorpenes right now anyway. And the design stage of the SSN program has already begun.
By the time the SSN and P-75I start delivering post 2030, we will have comfortably maintained our submarine numbers until then. And futher bolstered by as many as 28 surface ships dedicated to submarine hunting, not to mention 22 P-8Is, while also tapping into the American submarine network. Overall, we are pretty good on the submarine front.

sir, a naive query.... there will be a dozen Boeing P-8 poseidon as well .... aren't they effective for this?
Those will counter enemy subs,not useful vs enemy destroyers with long range sams or carrier battle groups with interceptor aircraft and AEW support onboard.For sea denial we need shore based brahmos batteries and aircraft like sukhois armed with air launched brahmos, plus lots of submarines along with our surface fleet which one to one will be outnumbered by 2030 even if PLAN sends half its fleet into the indian ocean region.Andaman and shore based support from south indian airbases are key.Need to contain the main body of PLAN around the sunda and more importantly malacca strait chokepoints .
Dude .. PLAN has 3 times more destroyers and frigates right now. By 2030 they will out number our surface fleet by 6 to 1.
Yes..but they cant refuel such huge numbers at sea so far away from their homebases at the edge of their operational range(if staying in IOR for an effective period of time).2nd they have to keep a large number for minimal defense in the east ..otherwise they leave their economic heartland on the coast totally exposed wide open to uncle sam's intervention or gunboat diplomacy.Its not enough to have a huge armada, you actually have to resupply this huge fleet at sea constantly.Thats why americans have so many bases around the world.However chinese dont have such luxury, they cant get to their bases in djibouti and gwadar without crossing the entire expanse of india.Our problems will become difficult however if they can manage to station whole fleets permanently in such bases.Right now these bases are too cramped and small for a whole fleet like at diego garcia but we have to be vigilant.We have checkmated them in maldives and sri lanka and are countering them effectively in bangladesh and myanmar.If the chinese permanently station a naval fleet with carriers inside IOR we will formally join the quad and begin asian nato formation with usa,aus and japan.
Possible to replace the arm launchers with VLS modules atleast?
Plus isn't it possible to get Redut instead of Shtil on Delhi and Talwar classes?
Actually there are uncertainties on this atm,one group is reporting barak 8 ,other sources saying shtil1 vls.No thing sure yet.What is sure is that INS delhi entered MLU at mumbai dockyard in mid 2017 ,and is still ongoing..so it must be a substantial upgrade.We need satellite images of delhi at mumbai dockyard to get further clues.
Yes, we are getting VLS on new Russian ships as well as the MLUs.
Requires a full redesign of the mast and superstructure, which means we can put Barak 8 instead.

The contract for modernisation of “Air Defence Complex Kashmir and Radar Fregat MAE” on P-15 (Delhi Class) of ships was signed between the Ministry of Defence, India and JSC Rosoboronexport, Russian Federation on September 12, 2019. The modernisation of Radar and Missile systems would substantially enhance the Air Defence capability of the P-15 Ships.
As part of the scope of work under modernisation, major overhaul and refurbishment of sub systems would be undertaken in India. In addition, manufacturing of critical hardware would also be undertaken in partnership with the Indian industry.

A newer missile with active seeker was under testing starting 2015. Maybe its that system.LOL at the name.

3) Front Missile Single Arm Launcher is still there - Cant Make out the Rear Launcher -mostly likely removed
4) AK630 + Barak System - Can't make out them - mostly likely removed
5) RBU System still there

Rajput class is easily our smallest destroyer in service. Today we have frigates in the making(Nilgiri class) that are roughly 3 times the Rajput's size. The Kamorta class corvettes are almost the size of the Rajput.
