Here Miss @BMD .The effects of the Irish potato famine in the mid 19 th century costing nearly 5 million lives. This episode demonstrates why the famine wasn't due to a failure of the potato crop due to blight but that the land was used to cultivate agricultural produce due only for EXPORT which was duly removed by the Brit army from lands in Ireland whose landlords were members of the House of Lords.
