Maybe you heard it wrong. Regional language is compulsory till class 5, not Hindi. No one can impose Hindi compulsory sitting in Delhi.I heard that Hindi has been made compulsory till Class 5 and regional language is optional. Finally some good decision!!!

We dont need any national integration using a language. Let every language have equal importanceI heard Hindi- which is good for national integration. There was no indication that they will dilute that. Besides- what you're saying is happening already.

No it won't , 60% of the population don't speak Hindi and no one can impose it ,not even RSS , Constitution has given official status to 22 languages. India doesn't have a national language and it will never have one.....Those questions are already settled as per RSS guiding pricinples (Modi is compelled to), Hindi will become the national language. All road/ stations will be in Hindi plus, teaching in school will be in hindi.
Mate, I agree, Hindi isn't being imposed as somebody claimed in this thread, maybe he is mistaken. However your 60 percent figure is way off the mark too. Maybe it could be 60 percent people don't speak in Hindi language as a first language. I have traveled across South, western and northern India and I am very much sure number of people who can understand and speak working Hindi are higher than 40 Percent by big margin. No it won't , 60% of the population don't speak Hindi and no one can impose it ,not even RSS , Constitution has given official status to 22 languages. And RSS HQ is in Nagpur , Maharashtra and its leaders are prominently Marathi speaking , even Modi is native gujarati speaker...
But India need one language other than English for effective countrywide communication... or we will make same mistake we are making till now. India need mild native language like Hindi or Sanskrit in my opinion nationally. religious and ethnic nationalist jingoism wont solve our problem. No it won't , 60% of the population don't speak Hindi and no one can impose it ,not even RSS , Constitution has given official status to 22 languages. IITs asked to take holistic approach
Even engineering institutions, such as IITs, will move towards more holistic and multidisciplinary education with more arts and humanities. Students of arts and humanities will aim to learn more science and all will make an effort to incorporate more vocational subjects and soft skills.
Music , arts and literature to be taught in all colleges
Departments in Languages, Literature, Music, Philosophy, Indology, Art, Dance, Theatre, Education, Mathematics, Statistics, Pure and Applied Sciences, Sociology, Economics, Sports, Translation and Interpretation, etc. will be established and strengthened at all higher education institutes.
I sure hope this doesn't turn the IITs and IISc into another JNU or Jadavpur University.Colleges to become interdisciplinary courses
Standalone Higher Education Institutes and professional education institutes will be evolved into multi-disciplinary education. Special education zones for disadvantaged regions. Govt to set-up a National Technology Forum to impart knowledge online.
This whole NEP thing is a jumla from Modi Sarkar. After having a cursory look, I don't see anything beneficial except the choice to exit a B.tech degree. Instead of removing all the unnecessary subjects that are taught in engineering courses and improving and making the course more tough, mathematical(less theoretical) ,practical and job oriented, they are trying to increase the useless subjects which just increase the Course volume and stress and provide ZERO benefit. I also don't see any change in the M.Tech or PHD curriculum, They could have atleast tried to tailor the courses in the areas of Material Sciences, Quantum Computing , Machine Learning, Aeronautics e.t.c. in such a way that the students passed can be directly absorbed by DRDO/ISRO or other research institutes.I sure hope this doesn't turn the IITs and IISc into another JNU or Jadavpur University.
As if they are somehow better now. After engineering, they take an MBA then sell toothpaste.I sure hope this doesn't turn the IITs and IISc into another JNU or Jadavpur University.

And stone age african language should be made global language.Sanskrit should be made the national language . It is the mother language of all other Indian languages . Hence there should be no problem. If we implement it now by 2040 it will be widespread nationally.
You are completely wrong on this. Tamil predates Sanskrit and Sanskrit has evolved by mixing many languages spoken at that time called Prakrit languages. If there is any language which belongs to all the languages of India including Tamil, it is Sanskrit.Sanskrit has nothing to do with classical tamil from which all dravidan languages has direct root. Some thing which RSS shakha wont teach you.
I am very curious about this. What changes would you recommend in materials sciences ? and other M Tech courses ?They could have atleast tried to tailor the courses in the areas of Material Sciences
