JF-17 Thunder & PAF : Updates & Discussions

Of course Paxtan is pioneer in electronic warfare. 15-20 hr power outage/ load shedding in their major metros is also electronic warfare.

They import outdated coal power plants producing electricity at exorbitant rates from China and civilian pilots still struggling to fly over EU & USA but this Momin has Rafales and s400 figured out!

Thanks to Allah Taala!
Wow,
Indians and their inferiority complex. Go see a psychiatrist. 😅😅

On topic, Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, starts delivering JF-17 in disassembled form to Nigeria.

We may get the latest pictures of JF-17 Block 3 AESA Radar KLJ-7A.
China is holding world radar expo from today to Saturday.

That's the high off bore sight missile for WVR combat.

In BVR combat its a fight between the missile and target plane.

In WVR the missile matters , but also the maneuverability of both aircrafts.

In that scenario Rafale and SU-30 are always going to out maneuver JF-17 and F-16.

In such case this missile with 90 degree off bore sight targeting capability will come handy.
The JF-17 is never going to be able to keep a rafale in it's crosshair for long enough to get a lockon during WVR engagement.
That's when HOBS missile comes handy . The pilot fires the missile even when the target aircraft is 50 of 60 degrees off from the forward. The missile and its seeker does the rest, with the help of Helmet mounted queuing system, where pilot has to just turn his head towards the enemy plane to give the missile a direction to follow.

We use a different model

RD 33 series 3 for our MiG 29 UPG Of IAF

And RD 33 -- MK ( Marine version ) with more Thrust and FADEC

And MIG 29 is Twin Engined like Su 30

So it can land back safely if one engine fails

That may be the reason why they are inducting more jf17, just to compensate the low availability rate.
Now my worry is how much is the availability of Mig29 & its Naval variant, both uses engine from same family.
Incorrect. Our Migs uses a better version of RD-33. JF doesn't even have FADEC that too for a single engine.
