So, the 3 contenders for the Army's LAMV/LBPV requirement:

LAMV 1 is to have a raisable mast to host a surveillance system

From Republic Day Parade rehearsals. Looks like LSV is being adapted for the recon role of LAMV.
If the army is satisfied by this then we might see a lot more Armados in the army. There is a separate requirement of the army for 2500+ Vehicle mounted Mortar System which will also be filled by these same vehicles. So almost 5000 numbers in near future.
