Yhe commercial partnership between Air France-KLM and Jet Airways will experience a new acceleration with a network covering 44 Indian cities and 106 European destinations.
Air France-KLM and Jet Airways have chosen symbolic events, the 70th anniversary of Air France in India and the 25th anniversary of Jet Airways , to give a new impetus to their commercial partnership established in 2014, then strengthened in 2016 by implementing codesharing for connections between Europe and North America and between Jet Airways hubs in Mumbai and Delhi in India via the Air France-KLM hubs in Paris and Amsterdam. This time it is to improve and harmonize the offer to passengers traveling between the three continents. In particular by working on connectivities thanks to adapted flight schedules via the hubs ofand Jet Airways as well as Bangalore and Chennai.
For, the capacity of the partners between India and Europe have just strengthened with the opening of a Chennai-Paris by Jet Airways as well as those of an Amsterdam-Mumbai and an Amsterdam-Bangalore by KLM. Openings of lines that will be followed by others in the years to come. As Jean-Marc Janaillac, President of Air France-KLM, points out: "The India-Europe market is one of the markets at the heart of the group's strategy for the years to come". The three airlines already carry together more than 1.2 million passengers, half of them continuing on North America with now 64 weekly flights between the hubs of Paris and Amsterdam and four destinations in India.
This capacity building and the improvement of connectivity between flights is accompanied by a harmonized travel experience and fluid throughout the journey (registration, baggage handling, lounge access, ...), the reciprocity of loyalty programs and a coordination of sales and services. A partnership that will also have a freight component as Jet Airways Cargo and Air France-KLM Cargo.
