Indian Missiles and Munitions Discussion

So not worth it.
Guess chinese went with it because they had no other way of targeting US carriers at long ranges at that time, but again they had to invest heavily on guidance chain so that the missile and anti ship RV hits the ship.
none of the anti carrier group systems now made are reliant on a re entry vehicle.
Is Rudram 4 gonna be a pure air launched HGV
I have no idea, don't think a pic has surfaced yet. also unlikely. it will be probably to cover max envelope of LR brahmos, up to 800km so all 3 range envelopes get different type of kinetic weapons.

Do we have a weapon system under development that is capable of striking sub-surface structures that are below the ground level at around 100 ft or so?

Certain conditions, as in? Static naval vessel?
Did dhanush had the capablity of getting midcourse updates, and targeting updates at start of terminal phase?

The guidance was improved over the service period because in later testing, we started trying out maneuvers in the terminal phase.

What exactly, I cannot say. My guess is pairing with GPS to improve the INS did happen.

Is there a plan to develop a successor?
Like a improved & anti ship varient of shaurya/pralay with ~1000km range in its depressed flat trajectory?
Or any other ballistic/quasi-ballistic anti ship missile.

Or all cards on scramjet cruise missile for future ship to anti ship role?

Isn't LRASHM being developed especially for that purpose?

Yes, you are correct. It's a liquid propellant-based, very accurate missile with a CEP of 1 meter. It can be used as an antiship missile, which is stationary at that moment. Not sure if they have added any seeker to it .

Pralay has a mmW terminal seeker which theoretically makes it capable of being used in the AShBM role. Its our equivalent of the US PrSM.

Agni-1P is also believed to have a carrier-killer variant.
