By making this decision on August 5, we ended up in a situation where you have to make huge restrictions in Eid and Independence day.

Releasing NC & PDP leaders detained should happen fast and hopefully they will fill up the leadership of pro 370 sentiment in the valley.

Gosh, Now I understand the reason why this country never took an bold decision for 70 odd years. Most of us don't have the balls/courage. At the slightest pressure we sow the seeds of self doubt. Its been just 8 days and yet we have 'certain' people now questioning various moves of the government when the SC itself is comfortable with the situation now. And this BULLSHIT which is "oh leaders confined for 2 weeks = creating space of violent/ secessionist elements". For gods sake, Man! Buckle up! We are in for a long ride.

What if till Aug17th pakistanis had planned something? Or some one had made statement regarding Kashmir , etc.
Aug15th when nation is in full patriotic mood, this was the time to implement it.

It's inevitable for hardliners to take the leadership when the entire political leadership of the region is in jail with no alternative political force in sight. We are not gonna kill our way out in Kashmir, too many peoples for that matter.

Only option is to go hard or separatists ,make sure that entire Huriyat is in jail & let the others take leadership.

Not sure whether there is any specific even that couldn't shift the schedule by 10 days. Possible, but the events suggest that this is undergoing for the better part of last month, especially with alerts to Jammu police to stock up resources in the middle of last month

Only thing that I can think about is goverment want to finish it before Taliban & America conclude 8th round of talks which will end in August 14 I think.

Perhaps singapore's premilenials elected a man (Lee Kuan Yew) who converted a fishing village into financial hub , whereas india's premilenials elected a man who through his socialism policies converted a great civilization into the one which had more poor people than the whole African continent .
