trailer looks good. But if in movie has people working out on snow it might not be good. I have hard Hotel Mumbai is an awesome movie. Wonder why the idiots don't release a trailer.

Looks like Ashwin beat me to the punch. Anyways, looks super awesome; and I seriously cannot wait for this.
Whenever I see this video of the daughter giving final Salute to her father, I get chocked with emotions and my eyes are filled with tears.
Do you know how did Col. MN Rai became a martyer? The holed up and surrounded terrorist offered to resign provided the CO was there to accept their surrender. Col. MN Rai moved upfront to convince them that they will not be killed if they surrendered. But they opened fire on him and killed him when he came forward to take their surrender. He was without his escort and unarmed. This is the bravery of these islamists. It seems we too have learnt nothing from what happened to Maharana Ratan Singh and Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who fell for similar treachery of muslim forces. Many Indian Kings were invited for peace negotiations by the muslim invaders only to be held captive and killed. Even Akbar did it with Mewaar and Bundelkhand.

you should have muted expectations. In many movies the trailer looks good and i movie the hero is washing himself with snow.
What I KNOW is that this film has full backing of IA and even the cast of this film was allowed to interact with the real people who did this strike. I hope it does not turn out to be a disaster like a JP Dutta film in which Army moves only while singing songs and thinks about their family back home before going to battle. When things build up, we have no time to think about families and normally after we write our last letter to the family, everything else is "select All" and "Delete from mind". What remains in mind is only the job at hand and mission to be accomplished.

I remember M N Rai's daughter many times.

The narration seems to be by Paresh Rawal; who'll be playing NSA Ajit Doval. Judging from the trailer the movie will be highly accurate - which is a huge relief and plus point for me; they've even found a Manohar Parrikar lookalike, wonder if there'll be someone playing Modi in the movie.

Someone should make a movie on young Doval's days in the North east.

He absolutely needs a biopic. Was involved in a lot of other ops too (across the border in Pakistan, in Punjab during the insurgency, Kashmir in the '90s etc).

True, I still have a slight concern about that; but I'm pretty hopeful it'll be a high quality movie.

Border was pretty good; LoC wasn't that great (I watch it a tonne anyways).

Now this what I call hitting below the belt.
WO JAWANI, JAWANI NAHIN, JISKI KOI KAHAANI NA HO.
We all were wild in our youth and present day youth are not even aware what all their fathers and forefathers did. Right from the days of "Garden of Eden", things have remained pretty much same. Why do you want to expose what he did as a youngman and for what reason?

I think Guynextdoor is talking about Doval's exploits as an undercover operative in the Northeast - like when he infiltrated and broke the Mizo National Front from within.

He does have shades of Grey which were due to his job. I don't know what @Guynextdoor hinting at, but its very rare to have something positive come out of him for any Indian Idol. He could have easily hinted at Op Bluestar also, but he did not. Doval lived in Harmandir Sahib as a Pak agent supporting Bhindranwale and none of those terrorists could make out that he is a Brahmin from India.

The whole world of intelligence and espionage is a gray one; my respect for Doval has only gone up after reading/hearing the things he did for India - he's a hero, 100%.

You are aware that he was the youngest recipient of Police Medal? It takes an average of 20+ years to recieve it....he got it in his first 6 years of service. He infiltrated Several separatist groups in NE and shut all of them down and forced them to the negotiating table by playing one against the other. Several of those groups ceased operations after his intervention. That I'm sure is a very compelling story by itself
