Well we're entering Philosophical areas with this, what makes a country? What values? What people? What beliefs? What culture?
A good AI example to understand different viewpoints.
1. Sathya’s View on people fighting for religion, language etc :- "Burn the Soil"
"Country is just dirt. My [religion/language/ideology] is eternal. Let the soil rot if it doesn’t serve me."
Goal: Dissolve the nation-state.
Examples:
Global caliphate advocates
Anarchists
Extreme separatists who want no shared soil
Blind spot: No soil = no plants.
Even ISIS needed territory (soil) to enforce its "plants" (Sharia).
2. The "Plants First" Warriors viewpoint : "Change the Gardener"
"The soil is fine. Just replace the idiot watering it wrong."
Goal: Capture the state to favor their plant.
Examples:
Religious nationalists ("Make country Hindu/Muslim/Christian")
Linguistic chauvinists ("Official language must be Tamil/Telugu")
Ideological parties ("Socialism or bust")
Core belief: The nation-state is a tool.
Win elections, amend laws, control institutions → force their plant to dominate.
They’re not anti-country.
They’re pro-their-version-of-country.
This helps explain why debates rage endlessly—each side operates from a different core axiom.
We already had a debate. And the conclusion was supposed to be 1947 partition. It ended with it. Everyone was supposed to get their idea of a nation.
So, either the architect of partition were wrong or the one who still wanna question the India as a nation-state are.
My pov:- The partition was a disaster and poorly implemented. It was like dumb elites deciding things in a room without any knowledge of the ground, the logistics, the sentiments and bare minimum foresight. Which is still hall mark of our politicians tbh.
The partition not only failed to end the distrust, enmity between people, but it instead created more of it.
Then we had Godly rulers who decided to rig kashmir elections at peace time giving open invitation to Pakistan to fan the fire of separation. But they can do no wrong. Hence, those godly rules decided to fck up manipur, nagaland states and decide to bomb people in own territory and thinking that will lead to peace. Oh but they can do no wrong. So, our godly rulers can stangle the economy leading to 1991 crisis. But oh! The godly rulers can do no wrong and instead they "saved" economy from 'Hindu Growth Rate'. But again, after saving our economy, our rulers find the tide shifting.. so what to do? Why not invite radicalism fermenting in Pakistan to penetrate into Indian society unchecked. Not only unchecked! We must make it almost impossible for anyone to even question the radicalism, their infrastructure and their network. Why? Well because it's getting harder to actually rig the elections, put emergency, kill democracy outright. So they will rig the minds instead.
Oh.. then the situation gets a little out of hand, but we must not question the rigged minds cause they are still vulnerable to rationality. Hence, giving open invitation to ferment hate, hate that was suppressed for a long long time, among a different population subset. But oh we can do no wrong. It's the one who are matching hate with hate are evil. Why not adopt gandhism. If they slap you once, get beaten twice. If they bomb you once, give another locality to them. Give more people to be killed. ( And I am not even talking about plethora of riots that are either accounted or unaccounted for) .
What do these rulers do when find they have been denied their right to rule now? Divide and rule. Debate what is a nation. If India is india or just EU like entity. Start debate, create a seperate entity for them to rule. Guess what? With enough unrest, the other side might just find it pleasing too, if it can get rid of them.
Only question remains: How many will die this time? Will the problem between solved? How many division this time? How many rulers are vouching for the position?
So.. It's India with all its territory and people. Or its nothing. That means.. giving up on the fantacism of Past empires of Afghanistan to Indonesia. Giving up on fantasies of blood linkages with people thousands and thousands km away from you, who share nothing with you. Except what the things they tell you to do, which will make you more like them.
Anyone who thinks south asian muslims are same as Turkish muslims.. must read about two things. The Barelvi movement and Deobandi Sect. You will realise how human mind creates solutions to continue their delusion.
I am not kidding. The more history I read. The more I start hating some dynasties. There issue was not only what they did. But in their pursuit of idealism, they gave space to so so much hate. And best part of all is, they easily circumvent responsibility by putting the burden and fault on others. People are poor? UC are at fault. Corruption? Others are at fault. Ok, terrorism? Bhagawa is at fault. Radicalism? Those who want terror infra to end is wrong. Seperatism? Language? Those who aren't even native hindi speaking people are at fault. But not they who actually never promoted indian languages cause english was better.
The amount of misinfo, manipulation out there by which they conveniently put blame of their policy on others is mindboggling. From Farm laws to Tamil issue, now marathi kannada. Just don't touch urdu and farsi cause that's sacred.
I mean Hindu " unity" is dividing people but caste census unites people. Do you see the irony?
