About five years ago, the US Air Force stated that the kill chain of PL-17 plus KJ500 is an issue that the United States should take very seriously.
And today in 2025, Pakistan used a simplified version of this air combat theory to successfully defeat the Indian Air Force in this conflict.
And what does the Indian Air Force understand about air combat? Just buy a few gold-plated fighter jets from Europe.

I am flattering the Indian Air Force by saying it is not up to the standards of the Iraq War. The Indian Air Force is not even up to the standards of the 1991 Gulf War.
During the Gulf War, the U.S. military formed a formation of four F-15 fighters, with early warning aircraft, electronic warfare aircraft and electronic reconnaissance aircraft as the core. After the early warning aircraft and electronic reconnaissance aircraft discovered enemy air or ground targets, the electronic warfare aircraft maintained suppression of the enemy radar, and the fighters launched missiles for beyond-visual-range strikes.
1，How many AWACS does India have? Only five, and no one even knows if the Rafale and Su-30 can establish effective data link communication with these Israeli-made AWACS.
2，Does India have electronic warfare aircraft? No. During the Gulf War, the United States had EA-6B and EA-111, while India in 2025 only has some tiny Israeli electronic warfare pods and some backward Russian ones.
3，Does India have any aircraft capable of performing this mission? Only some Su-30s can carry some KH31s, and these unfortunate aircraft need to launch a death charge against the enemy alone without the cover of electronic warfare aircraft.

Missile hitting a target is a complicated exercise of mathematics (numbers you know from school - 1,2,3... 5*2=10 etc), physics (study of matter, its states, motion), chemistry (for the stuff you put behind the missile to make it go zoom, weeeeeeeee and finally boom !!! ) and engineering (dont even bother)
For your rocket to hit a plane, it needs to calculate speed (it means how fast its going), trajectory (its current and projected path in 3 (thats 1,2 and 3) dimensions and also adjust for any radical course changes (suddenly moving differently)
The farther the target, the lesser the chance of a hit due to a more complex intercept solution. When you dont hit something the missile runs out of fuel ( the chemical thing that makes the missile go zooom weeeeee) and falls like a dud. Thats why India collected random parts of your missile and showed them on the TV (you know where you see party lectures and barney the dinosaur)
When you fling PL-15s like a little emperor having a bad day with nothing to show for it, its not called air combat, its called a tantrum. Which isnt good behavior and will get you a time out.
India's air combat results were for the world to see when your HQ-9 did not stop IAF and IAF ended up roughhousing Kirana and Nur Khan. Ouch !!!
PAF got thrased so badly by IAF that they simply tucked their tail and ran away. All your PL-15s hit nothing. Plus MKI and our other fighters downed 7 of PAF jets.

Man, I have a master's degree in mechanics. Don't you know what a dual-pulse engine is? When the missile is very close to the target, the second stage engine is activated to obtain higher energy and increase the terminal maneuverability of the missile.
Or the Meteor missile, which uses ramjet power, has a very high average speed. The missile has a long power section. When approaching the target, the energy is still abundant.
As for you using the wreckage of the PL-15 missile to make a fuss, the Indians' behavior is like a primitive man facing a machine gun, pointing at the bullets on the ground that didn't hit him. It's like mocking the machine gun for being useless.
It's a lock. IAF knows this. Only two counters exist for us in the next 5-10 years:

You are so awesome. In 2019, India announced that a MiG-21 shot down an F16. Then Pakistan exhibited all 4 missiles of the MiG-21. In 2025, you announced that you shot down 7 Chinese planes and destroyed China's air defense missile system. The only evidence was a Pakistani small box truck painted in camouflage.
