High-tech drones could have neutralised Chinese intrusions at LAC but India didn’t have them
With both China and Pakistan having the capability to manufacture drones, it is only a matter of time before non-State actors start using them too.theprint.in
I am glad that finally peoples are talking about it. This technology is disruptive & can disrupt normal balance of power on front.
First i thought of posting it in chit chat section, but changed my mind. If the content is irrelevant for this thread, Admin pls shift this to chit chat section.
@vstol Jockey @randomradio Even with normal AI or his own version of AI,is it possible for mig21 to match any of mki's parameters?

You think Armenian are primitive? The more apt question is whether it is desirable to have drones fitted with missiles. I don't see how drones can work against an advanced enemy. Primitive people can be targeted with drones but not even slightly advanced enemy with WW2 era AAA guns.

At this rate, we'd be lucky to get the Ghatak / (L)aura by 2040.
Syria, Libya & Armenia wars already shown how wrong that assumption is. Azarbaijan's Drones even destroyed few batteries of s-300,not to talk about the number of AAA guns and other SAM batteries it destroyed. The more apt question is whether it is desirable to have drones fitted with missiles. That thing has nothing to do with Ghatak.. SWiFT is a 1 ton aircraft if I'm not mistaken. It hasn't been flown yet. Next year is what Shiv Aroor said.At this rate, we'd be lucky to get the Ghatak / (L)aura by 2040.
If it's nothing to do with the Ghatak, what's ADA doing there? Besides IISc is one of the technology partners of ADA for both the Ghatak & AMCA programs. That thing has nothing to do with Ghatak.. But you're right.
China, Turkey, Iran all are ahead of us in UAV arena.Even Iran is ready with UCAV and we are still stuck with Rustom and creating RC toys
Why are we that much behind in drone warfare with respect to these countries, what are we doing wrong?
